The Graystone Company (GYST) Inc. is a U.S.-based mining and exploration company that engages in acquiring and developing gold and other mineral properties with proven and/or probable reserves in Peru through GYSTs Peruvian wholly owned subsidiary, Grupo Mineral Inca S.A.
GYST currently owns mining rights to approximately 2,300 hectares of properties.
In Loreto, Peru, GYSTs interests consist of the Gorilla Project, which covers 400 hectares, the Graystone II covering 800 hectares, and the Graystone IV covering 400 hectares. GYSTs Graystone III covers 700 hectares located in Amazonas, Peru. GYST estimates that its three claims (Gorilla, Graystone II and Graystone IV) have in excess of 170,000 ounces of gold or $300,000,000 at current gold prices. As a result, GYST expects that it could be mining on all three mining claims for the next 15-20 years therefore GYST has recently announced GYST has [3]received a 2-year permit from the Peruvian Ministry of Energy and Mines to conduct full mining operations on its mining properties Gorilla and Graystone II. GYST also plans to [4]expand the operations on the Gorilla Project by building a 2nd Pod on Gorilla as soon as it obtains the excavator. Graystone Company Announces Corporate Update 9:00a ET February 5, 2013 (GlobeNewswire) The Graystone Company (OTCQB: GYST) announced today that the Company has received questions from shareholders via Facebook and email regarding the presence of a stone crusher at the Company`s Suriname project. Instead of providing an answer individually, the Company decided to respond to the questions through a press release. The Company does have a stone crusher that is capable of processing 5 tons an hour. The Company also has access to an additional 3 stone crushers, each capable of processing 5 tons per hour.
The joint venture expects to begin operations in the next 3-9 weeks.
The Company also expects to provide an additional update on its operations in Suriname this week.
Overview Of The Suriname Project The project, referred to Suriname #1, is approximately 3-4 hours from the closest major city. The project already has equipment on site and expects to begin production in the next 4-10 weeks. The Company expects that the project will produce 200-400 grams per day or 4,000 – 6,000 grams per month or $200,000 to $300,000 per month per Pod.
The Company expects to expand the operations on Suriname #1 by adding a Pod each quarter. Each Pod is expected to cost about $250,000 in equipment and is expected to produce 200-400 grams per day or 4,000 – 6,000 grams per month or $200,000 to $300,000 per month. The Company`s goal is to have 4 Pods within 18 months being able to produce 16,000 – 24,000 grams per month or approximately $1,000,000 in revenue each month.
