Onteco Corporation, ONTC, Receives Significant Order from ER Technologies LTD, Commercial Lighting Distributor March 15th, 2012 – Onteco Corporation announced today that it had received a significant, first purchase order for its lighting products from ER Technologies LTD, a Green Energy Company specializing in the commercial real estate space.

The order is the result of weeks of negotiations between the companies. ER Technologies LTD will be reselling the lighting to one or more of its many commercial customers.

Onteco`s lighting products are state-of-the-art solid state LED lighting that the Company has been developing for the past eighteen months. Incandescent Light Bulbs * 1,200 hours * 60 watts * $361.35/year Fluorescent (CFL) * 8,000 hours * 13-15 watt * $84.32/year LED * 50,000 hours * 6 – 8 watts * $42.16/year *Average household has 30 bulbs in operation. Statistic represents the usage of the 30 bulbs for 5 hours per day.

You can easily see the benefits of LED lighting here. The LED bulbs last longer, use less energy, and cost less to run than the other types. This is why many schools, business, and other large organizations have been switching over to LED type lighting.

Last year, U.S. consumers spent about $1B to buy about 2 B lightbulbs–5.5 M every single day. Clearly, there is money to be made here with such a huge market, especially considering these LED bulbs use only 1/4 of the energy normal light bulbs use.

There is a ton of energy to be saved here which makes me believe there are many buildings out there that could use new LED lighting systems.

These are some truly staggering figures but it really gives you an idea at the kind of incentive we have to swtich to more efficient lighting systems.
