Hollund Industrial Marine, Inc. (OTCPK: HIMR) designs, develops and markets the patented Tiger-Lynk Technology. Tiger-Lynk (US Patent #6,024,145) is a remote operated machine comprised of a vessel-mounted robotic manipulator system with underwater vision enhancement systems. Tiger-Lynk`s innovative Underwater Remote Manipulator System (URMS or Arm) is designed for underwater logging and other challenging marine applications. Tiger-Lynk can provide a wide array of underwater services in extreme murky, muddy and other limited vision conditions at depths of up to 180 feet. Tiger-Lynk`s design enables scalable arm configurations, with models ranging in length from 50 to 200 feet, with 7 -9 degrees of freedom, and up to 50 ton lift capacity. The Arm can perform remote operations that are difficult and dangerous for humans to perform alone. Used in the Oil & Gas industry, HIMR`s technology can go up to 400 feet underwater with a submerged platform as well as in all forms of underwater construction. This unique product will allow the company to generate significant revenues and earnings from sales, leasing and servicing to various companies worldwide. The company is focused on the marketing and commercialization of the Tiger-Lynk Technology for heavy construction and repair (bridges, dams, offshore platforms and rigs, pipelines, levees, etc.), forest recovery, mining, flood emergency response, diver assistance, cutting, drilling, grappling, welding, dredging, raking, heavy transport, and other remote services, as well as to governments. Underwater forestry is a rapidly emerging green industry with $50 billion in resource potential. There are an estimated 300 million trees submerged worldwide, primarily in reservoirs behind major hydroelectric dams. The company plans to enter this market through joint ventures and other strategic partnerships aiming at creating a vertically integrated underwater forest products company. In a global forest products market expected to reach $1,491 billion by 2015, and with very few international players operating on scale, Hollund is aimed to become a key player in underwater forestry. Hollund Industrial is currently developing the new Tiger-Lynk AR-120 Machine with plans for a major product debut. Today, next-generation TigerLynk systems are being developed for a broad range of applications. In the future, Tiger-Lynk will continue to evolve its technology and products to meet the changing demands of the marine industry. Michael Lacy, Hollund`s president stated, "We are marketing to a number of existing projects where divers are being used to extract the timber. This dangerous practice has resulted in numerous injuries and fatalities over the years and is extremely inefficient. We intend to make underwater logging safer and more productive by introducing our most advanced machinery. At the same time, we are also targeting the hydroelectric dam industry in an effort to identify potential new projects." The company is also working on creating a site for clients to take a "test drive" of the Tiger-Lynk machine systems. From underwater heavy equipment to technical support and training solutions, Hollund Industrial offers a host of project services designed to support customer needs beyond equipment sourcing. The company expects to make further announcements in the near future regarding details of its ongoing forward strategy and other planned initiatives to grow the business and enhance shareholder value. Hollund Industrial Marine, Inc. is poised to become a significant player in the industrial marine equipment and services industry! Underwater logging is the process of logging trees from underwater forests. When artificial reservoirs and dams are built, large areas of forest are often inundated; although the trees die, the wood is often preserved. The trees can then be felled and brought to the surface using Hollund`s Tiger-Lynk underwater tree harvester system.
