Investors,
The markets are locked into a long term multi year bull market. This bull won`t run without pauses as it moves higher over the next six years. Every pause in the trend gives entry buying opportunities for investors. It`s getting tough for me to write because this is a run-away market as earnings continue to come in and bullish company news continues to be released daily. I am no economist but my INDU 14,000 is still coming by the end of Obama`s second term in office. It wouldn`t surprise me to see INDU 15,000 towards the end of his second term…depending who will pick up the democratic torch to run for president. I don`t think Obama will make the mistakes Clinton made that tainted the democratic party`s image. I can see a democratic president in office for the next 12 years. (I am not looking at this from a personal party believe just as reality)

The markets are slowing as earnings reporting season is slowly winding down. This is a normal time for a correction and much needed to set up for the next move higher. I am not looking for a hard correction. I am looking for news support to form for all the markets as earnings do continue and then 1st Q reporting will quickly come into play in March-early May.
This correction should be looked at as a time for Stock Bargain Hunting. Buy when others are sick to their stomachs and sell when they are in celebratory mood.
Wall St stocks slip; weakness in energy and tech
NEW YORK (Reuters) – Market breadth weakened and a prominent investor retreated from bullish positions as a vulnerable U.S. stock market slipped off 2-1/2-year highs on Tuesday.
Energy and basic materials stocks led the slide in the S&P 500`s worst day since January 28, and billionaire investor Ken Fisher told Reuters he is “more neutral on stocks than I`ve been in years.”
Volume remained light with 7.1 billion shares changing hands on the combined New York Stock Exchange, NYSE Amex and Nasdaq, below last year`s estimated daily average of 8.47 billion.

The INDU is riding high at this time maybe to high. Earnings continue to come out on the higher end boosting the underlying strength driving the INDU higher. I am looking for some churning over the next couple weeks as earnings wind down. Then I am looking for 12,400 – 12,650 to be tested. Stay tough with a longer term mindset at this time.

A MACD long term buy remains triggered but the MACD is starting to run high . The Stochastic is also running at higher but in a bull market the Stochastic can run high without to much alarm of an overbought condition even thou it can exist . The chart pattern remains upward and looks like it wants to do a serious breakout in the near future. This breakout should move the INDU over the 12,400 area. Please always stay alert for outside catalysts that could create short term swing in the market . I am l ooking for continued bullish momentum but not without pauses going into April/May earnings reporting. Normal reaction once this period is over is an apx. 10% market correction. We should examine this as we get close to the mid April time frame because momentum and economy build-up is stronger this year then the last couple years. Until then stay strong but alert, 2011 should be a good year for the INDU.

The Nasdaq had a nice close at 2,809.43 gaining +40.13 for the week. The MACD triggered a buy signal this week. The toppy top that was apparent was breached to the high side this week and it looks like new highs are coming soon. A few months back I wrote about Nasdaq 3000 sometime in 2011. It doesn`t look that far away now since my prediction was around 2550. The Nasdaq chart uptrend looks lock in. With a new long term buy signal, medium ranged MACD, medium ranged Stochastic and an chart uptrend I am looking for a higher Nasdaq into 1st Q earnings. There are still many Nasdaq companies that haven`t reported at this time so they should come in with decent reports assisting the Nasdaq higher short term.

The Nasdaq did rebound off it`s weakness over a week ago. The MACD still has a buy signal remaining with plenty of room for the MACD to move higher. I am looking for a long term buy signal to be trigged in tomorrows TA. The Stochastic is starting to roll over so we could see some weakness this week but nothing to be alarmed about. The chart trend remains impressive and looking strong going into the next couple months.

The Russell looks like it might pause here for short term but the MACD has triggered another long term buy signal. There is room for the Russell to move higher and a correction at this time would not hurt the long term trend higher. The chart is a little toppy so careful but the Russell does look like going into 1st Q should move through highs.”

The Russell has turned around. The Russell has been the wild card play in this newsletter. The last correction turned out to be mild and the Russell came out of it in a nice way. Currently the MACD just trigged a buy signal and has a lot of room to move higher. The Stochastic made a nice turn this week and can remain overbought for the short term. It was bullish to see the short term lower top turn into a support off the 50 DMA. It looks like the Russell is about to test highs on a continual basis along with the rest of the markets.
