(NASDAQ:NFLX) 146.86 +43.60 (42.22%) delivered a pleasant surprise with its quarterly earnings, was due to popularity of Internet-connected televisions, tablets and smartphones, its Chief Executive Reed Hastings said in an interview. NFLX reported a fourth quarter profit of $7.9 million, or 13 cents a share, compared with a year-earlier profit of $35.2 million, or 64 cents a share. The company had predicted results to range from a loss of 23 cents to a profit of four cents a share. Revenue grew 8% to $945.2 million, above analysts’ expectations of $934 million.
Swift Transportation Co. (NYSE:SWFT) 13.14 +2.91 (28.45%) shares jumped after reporting fourth-quarter earnings. Revenue rose 7% in the quarter to $922.6 million, beating estimates of $885 million.
Popular, Inc. (NASDAQ:BPOP) 25.81 +3.10 (13.65%) revenue rose 7% in the quarter to $922.6 million, beating estimates of $885 million.
InvenSense Inc. (NYSE:INVN) 14.76 +1.52 (11.48%) announced its earnings results on Wednesday. The company reported $0.19 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.16 by $0.03.
Briggs & Stratton Corporation (NYSE:BGG) 23.00 +2.13 (10.21%) declared a quarterly dividend on Wednesday, January 23rd. Stockholders of record on Friday, March 15th will be given a dividend of $0.12 per share on Monday, April 1st. This represents a $0.48 dividend on an annualized basis and a yield of 2.28%.

Texas Capital Bancshares Inc. (NASDAQ:TCBI) 42.05 -4.05 (-8.79%) reported fourth quarter net income of $0.76 per share after the bell Wednesday, compared to $0.67 per share last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.83.
Diebold Incorporated (NYSE:DBD) 29.91 -2.75 (-8.42%) announced preliminary 2012 fourth quarter revenue of approximately $840 million and a loss from continuing operations of $(.12) per share, or income from continuing operations of $.45 per share on a non-GAAP basis.
